Why the name Lester’s Carpentry you might ask? Well, Lester started out with a carpentry business in 2010. After just two years, it became clear that there was a lot of interest in metal roofing work in his hometown of Rossiter, PA, in the Johnstown, PA area; including Somerset in the south and up to St Mary’s in the north. Following the demand, Lester decided to focus solely on the roofing aspect of the business. He quickly become known as a professional roofer who was responsive, professional and reasonably priced. The business grew and more employees were added to the team.
In 2019, Melvin Miller joined the team as a partner. Melvin brings over 15 years roofing experience to the business. In 2023, Lester’s Carpentry is branching out to commercial roof restoration using the renowned Conklin commercial roofing products. This follows Lester’s success with Troyer Commercial Roofing based in Florida. More recently, Lester has won several awards for his work with Conklin products (See photo below). Lester’s Carpentry has a wide range of building skills but has chosen to focus on roofing.
Melvin Miller
Melvin has been in the roofing business for over 15 years. It is this depth of experience that differentiates him from others in the industry. Having Melvin as a partner has certainly helped Lester’s Carpentry grow. Melvin loves his job and is very passionate about roofing. The difference this makes for our customers is that the job is done right the first time. Our customers often comment on how clean and tidy the workplace is after the job is complete. It’s probably the reason why we have a 5 star rating from Google.
Lester’s Carpentry
Lester’s expertise has seen him branch out from residential roofing to commercial roofing, specialising in the Conklin range of products. He found a quality range of products that matched his work ethic. Customers often comment on the fact that Lester gets back to them promptly and is able to provide reasonable pricing.
Often customers are at ease with the knowledge that both the job is done right and the products used have an extended warranty. Lester prefers the small business approach which enables him to connect with clients and understand their needs. Making sure the job is done right and on time make his customers very happy with the work.
